Lorraine worked in Finance at the Sandy HIll Community Health Centre, She joined in the 1980s when community health centres were just taking off in Ontario, and her contributions helped provide a stable infrastructre from which the organization could flourish. Thank you Lorraine. She was an excellent colleague and friend to many.
After many years, and with both of us having been retired, I had the privilege to have tea with Lorraine before she passed. She was the same gentle woman, with a quick mind and great humour. I was also able to meet one of her daughters, JoAnn.
On behalf of her many friends at the Health Centre, I wish the family strength in their time of loss, and that the memories of this wonderful woman will give them comfort,
Dennise Albrecht (former Executive Director, Sandy Hill Community Health Centre)

Condolences to Jo-ann and family. I also remember Mrs. Allen as kind caring and hospitable woman, who had a great love for her family! I remember many fond memories of baking Christmas cookies and other things centered around holidays and special celebrations. May her family hold all their memories close to their hearts, and celebrate her life and pass on her acts of kindness!

My deepest condolences to Jo-Ann and her family. It has been at least 40 yrs since I lat saw your mom. Seeing her picture brought back childhood memories living across the street on McLeod. She was a young mother and I appreciated her hospitality.
Sending my well wishes and prayer to you in this difficult time.
