Obituary of Anita Taggart (nee Gratton)
Anita Taggart (ne Gratton), age 89, left this world behind early in the morning on January 23, 2022, at her home in Peter D. Clark, long term care. Anita fought a good fight, but in the end, her family had to wish her a “good night”. Anita was proud to call herself wife to her beloved Ron, mom to her son Christopher (Sandra) and daughter Deborah (Ron), grandma to her grandchildren Christopher, Pamela, Diane and Dean, and to her beloved great grandchildren. Anita was an avid cook, entertainer, card player and traveller. In retirement, Anita split her year between her home on the Big Rideau Lake and Destin Florida. As well as raising her family, Anita’s career included Assistant to two members or parliament, head secretary at a large high school and some time with Bell Canada. If you knocked on Anita’s door, you would always be greeted with a smile, something to eat and a glass of wine. The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the staff of Peter D. Clark for their kindness and dedication to Anita’s care. Anita can be found at Pinecrest Cemetery, where her family will wish her farewell at a private ceremony. Thanks to all, for your pursuit of friendship with Anita.
