Obituary of Arduino Raponi
With hearts full of love, we announce the peaceful passing of Arduino Raponi in his 90th year.
Survived by his son Tristano, grandson Raimondo , brother Atlilio (Natalina), sister Maria Talone, and son-in-law Franco Umantario. He will be dearly missed by the Raponi, Pagani and Mancini families, including his many nieces and nephews. Arduino was also a special Nonno to Riley, Brooke and Charlie Polite.
Predeceased by his loving wife Anna of 51 years, his beautiful daughter Tiziana, and brother Roberto.
Born to Petrucia Mancini and Nunzuato Raponi on August 12, 1932 in Carpineto Italy, Arduino was a hardworking construction Forman since the age of 16. He met his soulmate Anna and followed her to Canada in 1958 where they married and began their life together.
A devout Christian who came to know the Lord in 1982, Arduino’s favourite bible verse was John 3:16.
Arduino wasn’t consumed by material things, instead the love of his family and his faith in God was of the greatest importance in his life.
We rejoice today knowing that Arduino is worshiping his Heavenly Father with his wife and daughter by his side. Although we will miss him forever, we are at peace in the knowledge that we will see him again.
We wish to thank the staff at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, especially Dr. Quan and the incredible nurses in the ICU and A5.
We also extend our sincere gratitude to the many friends and family who have shown so much love and support during this time of sorrow.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the MS Society of Canada in honour of Tiziana Umantario, or to the Canadian Cancer Society in honour of Anna Raponi.
A funeral service will be held at Arlington Woods Church, 225 McClellan Rd. Nepean, ON at 9:30am on Saturday January 15, 2022. Guests are required to register in advance no later than 6pm on Friday evening using the following link: Register here
