My sincere condolences to Jhoti and all of the family. Sneh was a good neighbour that I had the privilege of getting to know as I helped out with household chores on weekends. I fully enjoyed our cooking days when between us we chopped and seasoned and cooked. I always felt so welcome at her home, not just from Sneh, but from the entire family of daughters and spouses, grandchildren and extended family. It is reflective of the love and acceptance that Sneh imparted to all. She will be missed.

I think of Dr. Chakraburtty often - she is the reason I became an emergency room nurse. I first met her on a night shift in the GNGH ER where I was doing my nursing school consolidation (32 years ago!!). That night we had a teenager come in who was accidentally shot at his home. It was my first trauma, my first witness to a doctor doing a pericardiocentesis, internal cardiac massage and speaking to family members afterwards. She was kind but direct, factual but succinct. She left me there with that grieving family, telling me only to ‘hold their hearts and hands.’ All of my professional years, I have tried to do just that. Condolences to her family and friends.

To the family of this wonderful woman, I send my sympathies. I knew your mom, wife, grandmother while working as a Police Officer in Niagara. It was always a welcome sight to have to attend the Emergency Room, to see her smiling and helpful face. We all appreciated her wonderful sense of humour that made our job so much easier while attending her emergency room. She was well respected and liked by all. Memories are a wonderful thing and I think of her often.

Dr Chakraburty was often on duty in Emergency at Niagara General when my late mother in law had asthma attacks. She was full of compassion and always available to explain and reassure her. We spent many hours together and I am thankful that she was a good doctor

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Chakraburtty. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Chanraburtty for many years at GNG ER in Niagara Falls. Always generous with her knowledge, culture and compassion. Although the ER was filled with challenges we always worked together to provide the best care to the patients. Dr Chakraburtty was an an amazing emergency room doctor. We had many laughs and tears on those long night shifts. She was kind, and always willing to teach or help. She always spoke of her family in such a way that we felt like we knew them.

I worked with Dr. Charaburtty for years at the GNGH Emergency Department. I learned so much from her on a professional level but we also shared on a personal level. From Meena and Bina getting married to the births of her grandchildren, who she spoke so lovingly about. I also remember her speaking about Joni’s travels for his job.
