Obituary of Tasia (Anastasia) Kargakos nee Giakoumellos

August 15, 1930 – December 14, 2021

On a beautiful December morning, Tasia passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side at the age of 91. Tasia immigrated to Canada from Zakynthos, Greece at a young age. Through hard work and dedication, she was able to become a successful business owner.

Tasia is survived by her siblings Magdalini, Dionysius, Anastasios, Ioanna, Haralambia, and Philipia. Son Jimmy (Christina), her grandchildren Anastasia (Marc-Antoine) and George, great-grandson Noah and many nieces and nephews 

Visitation will take place at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church (1315 Prince of Wales Drive) at 12 noon on Friday December 17^th, 2021. Due to the current restrictions, a service will be held at 1:00 PM, for friends and family. The family would like to thank Dr. Brendan Trickey for his exceptional care and Bayshore Home Health, particularly Renato, Soloman, and Issac. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Tasia’s name to Cornerstone Women’s Housing Centre.
