Obituary of Adriana de Waal

On the morning of November 19th, Adriana de Waal passed away peacefully. Beloved wife of Johan (Hans) de Waal (1931-1995) and dear mother of Desiree (John), Virginia (Richard), Victor (Kim). Loving Oma of eight grandchildren, Erica, Helen (Brent), Rhiannon, Alexandra, Allison, Caroline, Braeden, Maya and great grandmother of Graham. She immigrated to Canada from the Netherlands with her husband in 1957 to Montreal and established her long and honoured career as a teacher, eventually settling in Ottawa. In addition to her love of teaching, she was an avid artist, loved to sew, and passionate about her studies in history, religion, art, piano, and languages. We love you and will miss you dearly, Mom/Oma.
