Obituary of Daniel Israel Faundez
Born on February 12th, 1967, Daniel (Dany, Cotito) passed away on September 9th, 2021, in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, at the age of 54 years old. Precious husband, father, son, brother, cousin, and friend to so many. Daniel is survived by his spouse Lorena and children, Cleria and Kayla. Dear son to Emma and the Late Juan Faundez. Cherished little brother to Sonia, Junia (Pavlos), Juan (Gloria), and Ricardo (Rita). Loving uncle to Esteban, Isaiah, Loukia, Andrew, Marilyn and Joshua. Caring brother-in-law to Jose, Nelly and Cris. Wonderful son-in-law to Nelly and Miguel Nunez. Dedicated guardian to Taco, the most amusing family dog.
Daniel lived a fulfilling life as a devoted husband and father. He worked hard to provide for his family and left no stone unturned when faced with challenges. There was nothing Daniel would not do for his wife and daughters. Daniel leaves an emotional hole which can only be soothed by memories of his infectious smile, his compassion, happy and friendly personality.
Those who knew Daniel would have heard endless stories and jokes featuring Mom as the main character. He loved his mother dearly and held her as the most influential person in his life. This was his way of showing his great love and
affection for her.
Daniel loved to gather with friends and family to share in a few of his passions, being food and good conversation, with a bit of music peppered in between. He will certainly be remembered by many of his colleagues and friends.
He loved the Lord and searching for truth in His word. Daniel took it upon himself to study the bible and share his findings with his siblings and family. Nothing would entice Daniel more than an intellectual conversation that included the Bible and the mysteries surrounding it.
He leaves behind an extensive family in Chile as well. His cousins and aunts in Chile will miss him dearly. Wherever Daniel went, whomever he met, he undoubtedly left a profound impression.
“He will be greatly missed”
