Obituary of John Sadler
John passed away in hospital in Ottawa after a short illness at the age of 75. He was predeceased by his parents, William Sadler and Eileen (Richardson).
Born and raised in Ottawa, John worked in both Ottawa and Toronto for the Bank of Nova Scotia and later retired from International Harvester.
He will be missed by his long-time dear friend Christine Paterson and many neighbours on his west-end street, especially pals Kelly and Will Egan and Laurie Fagan.
John had a life-long passion for animals, was a friend to many dogs in the neighbourhood and had a soft spot for horses. He loved a good joke or prank and was keen on telling humorous stories from his childhood in the Fisher Park area or his varied work life. He was also a very trustworthy neighbour on the street, often looking after the houses of vacationing friends. Coronation Street has lost one of its biggest fans.
Interment will be held Monday, September 27 at Pinecrest Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
