My deepest condolences to the Bhowmik Family. I just found out the news about Shaptarshi. I am deeply sadden to hear of his passing. We went to school together at St. Joe's and he was one of my closet friend's in Grade 7 & 8 before I moved schools. We kept in contact over the years and he could always make me laugh. He was a good person and a great friend. Gone to soon but not forgotten. Love and prayers, Kayden Coulas

I was not the closest to Shaptarshi, we shared the same bus during my first years at St.Joseph High School. He was the kindest person with an overwhelming energy to himself. He never failed to make others around him laugh and enjoy themselves in whatever environment they were in. I am praying for his family and other friends who are grieving during this time, the world has lost one of the brightest stars, May god bless all the grieving hearts at this time and help them get through this devastating loss.- Ivan Cavar

My condolences and prayers go to your family in this very difficult time. I went to high school with Shaptarshi and I wish I knew him better. I used to work at the front desk at Minto Recreation, and Shaptarshi would always stop and say hello to me on his way to the gym. He would stand by my desk for a few minutes just to talk about our school work and social lives. It always made my day to see a friendly face there. I am so sorry for your loss and I hope this memory of him brings your family comfort. May he rest in peace.

Shaptarshi Baba, you would be always in our heart….We created meaningful memories to cherish and now it has been a treasure that we were not at all prepared for. You were a talent, a joy and a hidden gem. You were a true human being. You were compassionate. We would miss your presence in every moment of our lives.
Our deepest condolence and prayers for Suparna, Jayanto Da, Anannyo, Mashima, Subrata, Radha, two innocent cousins who initially tried to rescue their big brother and rest of the family members. Our tight hugs and prayers.

Our sincere condolence to Jayanta Da and Suporna Bhabi. We went to a camping trip in 2017 with Aninda and his family. I still remember, young Aninda at that time, participated with us in hiking, soccer, and other activities. His quite, and calm personality, was easily distinguishable from other kids, who joined us in the camp trip. I found these photos in my folder and felt I should share it. I hope the Almighty will help the parents and the family to bear this unbearable loss.

Cannot find words… Still cannot believe this! how to console Didi n Dada! Last week when wishing on Didi’s post on his 20th birthday, was going to say how he used to throw stuff out through the window, at 7/8months he know which one is a real mobile and which was the toy mobile and throw the toy ones immediately… I clearly remember the little Aninda after he was born… I used to talk about the little Aninda to family and friend about how bright he was just by 6 months! After leaving Bangladesh in 2007, did not have chances to see him growing but always been following the family’s social media posts. Will always remember the little wonder Aninda. Mama you have already become a star in the sky, leaving us behind. This is not fair… anyway wait for us n till then take care of yourself, give as much visit you can to Ma Baba… you have taken their heart with you! Keep shining as always…

Jayanta da , Suparna , Ananya, Mashima, Subrata and Radha,
I don’t know how to console you . While the loss of a loved one is never easy, even when anticipated, it is most certainly the hardest when they are taken from us too soon like this. Aninda has left us at such a youthful age is definitely a great loss for you and all of us. He was such a sweet heart. We always admired him for his strong personality and his cute smile which used to say more than he actually spoke. Arnab , Aayan always loved to play games, watch movies with him and you, Ananya.
We offer our sincere condolence and deepest sympathy on your loss. Aninda will remain in our heart forever and in our prayers. I ask for God's blessings on you and your wonderful family. May you all find the courage and strength to move forward in peace and confidence and in knowing that his was a life well-lived.

We would like to offer our most heartfelt condolences to Suparna-di, Jayanta-da, and family. Aninda was a kind, thoughtful young man, and will be greatly missed by us all. While words cannot fully express the tragedy of this loss, please find a few messages from our members below. Finally, Suparna-di & Jayanta-da, please know that we will always be here for you, in any way you may need during this difficult time.
Love,
—THE SUKARA FAMILY
Suparna-Didi, Jayanta-Dada, and the rest of the family,
We have no words to console you. We pray to God - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful - to heal you. May He pour His grace and solace in your hearts. May He give you the strength to carry on with the beautiful legacy Aninda left in this world: love and kindness.
—NIRJHOR & ZOHRA
We have known Aninda since he was about 10-11 years old. The son of one of our most cherished friends here in Ottawa, Jayanta-da and Suparna-boudi, we had the opportunity to see Aninda closely as a volunteer for community events, on camping trips and numerous family visits to each other’s house. Aninda was someone who cared for others and always worked hard silently without seeking any recognition.
Aninda - you left us physically, but you will always be in our memories as a kind hearted and caring young man. May your soul rest in peace.
—LIBRA, FAISAL, MOOBINAH, & ELSA
We are saddened and have no words to express our condolences in this tragic incident! May Almighty God rest Aninda's soul in peace! Our thoughts and prayers with the parents!
—AMIN FAMILY
Aninda, it is very hard to face the reality that you have left us. No matter how we run the events in our heads again and again, we have to remember that death is certain and inevitable. It is written in Holy Quran:
“Death will find you even ye hide in fortresses built up strong and high.” (The Qur'an, 04:78)
As death is certain, so is our love for you. You are engraved in our hearts and live there forever.
—MUNA, RUPAM, RAYYAN, & THEA
For those of us who saw Aninda from a distance, he was a leader within his cohort and a trailblazer for his generation of the family. He was a perfect friend of maturity and kindness while nurturing a child-like aura to keep the younger members of his family close at heart. He left a deep irreparable void for all of us in the community - but we will cherish and celebrate what you left for us. May your soul be blessed wherever you are.
—RIZWANA & FAISAL ARIF
Jayanta-da, Suparna-didi, and Anonno,
Let us begin by expressing our deepest sympathy and condolence. It is never easy to say goodbye to someone who has been a part of our lives, let alone a dearest member of the family. And when that individual is gone, there is deep sorrow and a void where they used to be in our lives. The sorrow and void that Aninda left, has been felt by every individual in our tightly-knit community.
However, during this time of grief, I hope that you have found and continue to find the gratitude and comfort of your loved ones and family friends. While we did not get to have the opportunity of encountering Aninda various times, the magnitude of his impact and presence has been showcased by the hearts he touched with his politeness, kindness, and care for others. Yet even in the depths of our grief, it is important to remember the good memories that you have of Aninda. By holding on to those memories and cherishing them, we can find comfort in this difficult time. Prayers remain for him from the bottom of our hearts.
—ROZZLE, MUNA, NISHWARA, & NIYOOSHA
We never had the chance to speak to Aninda that much, but we have watched him grow from a shy young child to an impressionable youth who would make any parent proud. We were fortunate enough to have seen him work diligently as a volunteer for Sukara and enjoy life whole-heartedly at various sporting, camping and other community events.
No amount of condolences can fill the unbearable emptiness he left in Jayanta-Da and Suparna-Didi’s life. We solemnly pray that Aninda’s near and dear ones would find some consolation in knowing that his spirit lives on and hope that they find some solace in nurturing that spirit by commemorating his life and cherishing his memories.
—SOHEL & SANJEDA
Each time Aninda would walk past our house with his dog, we’d exchange smiles. On the special occasion I’d encounter him at a function, we’d share a conversation. Whether talking about games, or sports, or sharing wisdom about the future, I was never disappointed by his words. It’s only now I realize how much I regret speaking so little with him, because in my eyes, he was a role model, a true paragon of virtue.
Thank you,
—JIBRAN
It has been painful writing these lines about you, Aninda, for your obituary. When I heard the news of your death, I kept telling myself that I wish I could have known you a bit more. But now as days have gone by, I thank myself that I didn’t. It is becoming so hard for me to recall brief memories that I have with you. I can’t even imagine how unbearable it is for your parents, Ananna, Shounak, Sohaum, Subrata and Radha who are living through this and will be for the rest of their lives.
I keep thinking, would your Family members’ be ever able to forgive themselves for not being able to rescue you? Or your grandparents? When will they stop asking why God didn’t choose neither one of them or do they at all? Will they be able to accept that you were only destined for twenty years irrespective of their efforts? Are there any words in the dictionary of any language that we can use to comfort them? I wish I knew!
I wonder who named you Shaptarshi? Did they know that you would be making your house in the ‘Shaptarshi Mondol’ so early? You are having such an infinite loving time there, where no pain or suffering can touch a pure soul and yet we are here, on this earth, struggling to accept your departure.
Suparna-di and Jayanta-da, I have been living closer to you for two years. It’s not long enough to know a family but it is long enough to be touched by your warm hearts and lively personalities. I have no words to console you nor would I try to do that.
It has been said that the heaviest weight in the world is the son's dead body on a father’s shoulder. As you will struggle to learn carrying this weight on your shoulder for the rest of your life, I know that you will find a way to be connected with Aninda more than ever before, as you didn’t lose him. A parent cannot lose a child.
May Almighty God have mercy on all of us!
Love,
—SHUMI & LOKMAN
