Obituary of Ida May Magill (nee Cave)

We sadly announce the passing of Ida May Magill (nee Cave) in the early hours of Sunday August 1^st, at the age of 80.  Predeceased by daughter Cathy, sisters Lucy and Nancy, and brother Alan, mother of John and Linda, she is greatly missed by sisters Irene, Linda and many nieces and nephews and friends.

Ida May was a courageous and fun-loving person, inspirational to so many in the way she handled life and health issues, reflecting her deep and quiet faith in God.  Fearlessly she manoeuvred her wheelchair, often scaring onlookers!  Ida is also remembered for the compassion, love and understanding of children with physical challenges for whom she volunteered for some years.

A celebration of Ida’s life will take place on Monday, August 23^rd at 2.00pm in the Chapel of Pinecrest Cemetery, internment following.
