Dear Hani and Firas and families; Please accept my sincerest condolences on the loss of your mother. Nouha worked with myself and my colleagues in Communciations Branch at CIDA for several years. We grew to love her attention to detail and her caring. In some ways, she was a mother to us all. I know that she and your late father, Habil, were so proud of their boys. She often spoke about you and at least twice invited us all to your home for dinner, where we relished in her splendid cooking. I had seen Nouha a few times over the years and we had lunch two years ago, I last saw her with Firas last summer when they were at Thyme & Again and we chatted briefly, both saying we should meet again. She was very much in my thoughts these last months. I still think of her as she was when we were all younger in those good old days. In fact, I still use some of her expressions as they have remind me of her and her unique way of seeing the world. My thoughts are with you at this time. Blaine Marchand
