Obituary of Ruth Eleanor Walker (nee Young)

Predeceased by her parents William and Marjorie Young. Her brother Edward “Buddy” Young. Her husband Robert “Bob” Walker, and her beloved son Brad Lajoie.  Survived by her daughter in law Maryann Lajoie and her grandchildren Billy and Daniela Lajoie, and great granddaughter Ciara.  Also survived by stepdaughter Doreen  (Billy) and step granddaughter Mandy and her special niece Leanne. Ruth was a meritorious employee of RL Crain for 46 years. Ruth loved to sing and dance and played many instruments including the trombone and piano. Her love of music and dancing was actualized through Barbershop, Chorus and Tap Dance which she revelled in well into her 80s.  Ruth will be remembered for her exquisite  beauty which was only outmatched by her  kindheartedness.  Her quick wit and contagious smile will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. A special thank you to all of her Nurses and caregivers at Extendicare Medex. There will be a private family burial at Merivale Cemetery.
