Obituary of Gwen Helen Scott

On July 21, 2021 Gwen Helen Scott passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. 

Loving wife of Robert, her husband of 58 years, mother of Wendy (Bruce) Hamm and Judy (Steve) Greiner and sister of Neil (Donna) McMartin.  Devoted grandmother of Sarah (Nathan), Chelsea, Jack, Thomas and great-grandmother of Theo.  She will be sadly missed by all her relatives and friends. 

Born on the family sawmill in Williamsburg Township to Don and Hilda (nee Barkley) McMartin. The family later moved to Cornwall and then Gwen moved to Ottawa where she worked, married and had her family.  Gwen enjoyed spending hours and many trips to cemeteries around the area and in Nova Scotia to research and document her and Bob’s family trees. 

Following Gwen’s wishes there will be a private service for the immediate family. 

A memorial donation to Parkinson Canada or another organization of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
