Obituary of Elizabeth (Eliz) Hewens

With great sadness, the family of Elizabeth Jean Helen Hewens (nee Dalgity) announces her peaceful passing on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Stillwater Creek Retirement Residence in Nepean. Eliz was in her 89^th year. Beloved wife of the late Allan Hewens. Stepmother of Bruce and David Hewens. Grandmother of Amanda and April. Dear aunt of Garry Dalgity, Eddie, Wayne and Greig Evans, and Allan, Brian and Susan Hanna. Godmother of Andrea and David Dougherty. Predeceased by her parents, John and Lizzie Dalgity of Carp, by her siblings Jack and Freddie Dalgity of Almonte, Nan Hanna of Almonte, Ada Evans of Thunder Bay and by her nephews Jackie Dalgity and Don Dalgity of Almonte. An avid golfer, Eliz was a long-time member of the Cedarhill Golf and Country Club and will be missed by her many friends. A memorial service will be held at a future date.
