I knew Gerry both as a Master Mason and as a civil servant in the Project Management Office (PMO) for Light Armoured Vehicles.
(LAV)……He had a great sense of humour and could add a quip so quick, it brought laughter from everyone present. He mentored me and sponsored my Honourary Membership in the RCEME association a a dinner at LETE in Orleans. He was highly respected by retired RCEME veterans who spoke well of him….I took his advice on many occasions in my military career and great pride in my association with Gerry……he would have been welcomed when crossing his rainbow bridge where, one day I will enjoy meeting and greeting him once again……RIP Gerry…..
