Alan became a close friend and mentor to me soon after Bev and I arrived in the Clayton area in 2013. We worked together as Board members for the Clayton Senior's Residence (Linn Bower), and as fraternal brothers in the Mississippi Masonic Lodge. He was a strong family man and the most loyal of friends. I will particularly miss his wry sense of humour -- I recall him telling me once that "the population of Clayton never changes, because every time a girl gets pregnant, a guy moves away". Our sincere condolences to his entire family. Godspeed, Alan.

My condolences to the family. Tough loosing both matriarchs of the family so close together. A proud and distinguished man and will be missed by neighbours and the community. Just said yesterday, when on the Clayton road how he must be lost without Chris, now they are reunited.

Allan was a close friend of my husband Earle from their days in 4-H and Junior Farmers. His sense of humour held up all through his life and we enjoyed so many evenings of cards with he and Chris for over 50 years. He shared many of his gifts with his community and will be sorely missed by his friends. My sympathy to all his family.
