Obituary of Laurence Motiuk

MOTIUK, Laurence (Larry), Lt.-Col. Retd., CD of Ottawa, passed away peacefully at the age of 96 at the Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre on June 8th, 2021. He made serving God, family and country his life’s work. During his lifetime, he was an accomplished navigator, aviation management trainer, researcher, squadron association leader and book author. Beloved husband of predeceased Margaret for 62 years; loving father of Larry (Michele), Mary Lee and predeceased Paula and Shelly. Cherished grandfather of Tyler and Bryce (Katy); and great grandfather of Addison. Dear brother of predeceased Raymond, Margaret, Richard and Leonard. He will be lovingly remembered by all his family and friends. Heartfelt thanks to the entire Health Care Team on Rideau 2 South for their support and care. A private memorial service was held at Pinecrest Cemetery in Ottawa on Friday, June 11, 2021. As expressions of sympathy and remembrance, donations can be made to the Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre Foundation.
