Obituary of Maryanne de Souza

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Maryanne Rachel de Souza (née Gonsalves) on Friday, May 7, 2021, age 71. She leaves behind her husband Richard of 46 years, her daughter Rachelle (Peter Brewer) and her son Giles. Cherished "Nana" to her granddaughters Sydney and Cassidy. Beloved sister of Joseph Gonsalves (Linda) and Dolorina de Souza (Frank). She is predeceased by her parents Cyril and Margaret Gonsalves.Maryanne was born in Karachi, Pakistan and came to Canada at the age of 25. She joined Air Canada in 1974 and worked there for 42 years, where she met her dearest lifelong friends. Maryanne was a devout Catholic and she loved being part of the parish family at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Kanata.

Her family wishes to thank all the staff at Extendicare West End Villa, for their loving care of Maryanne.

There will be a Funeral Mass and Celebration of Maryanne's life, when possible at a later date.
