Dad, I miss you everyday. You were always there for me. The fun we had. The laughs, the calls, the reminiscing was my favorite. I miss hearing "well if it isn't a call from out West"! Love and miss you forever ~Your ever loving daughter ~ Pat

A few years ago, I asked Uncle Barry if he would record the story of his family vacation in Niagara in 1972. It was one of our favorite stories he ever told. Eleanor, Rick and Trish, you'll remember this one. The story of his standing in line at the information booth, a line that never moved, because he was in a wax museum. His moral for the story, "If you are ever standing in a line that doesn't move, check that the person in front of you is breathing." We will never forget you. We will miss you greatly!
Eleanor, Rick, Trish and families: We love you and are praying for you in your grief. Remember the laughs and the good times.
Love and Prayers, Deb & Jim

A great man in his own right! My second Dad! Barry gave me my name when we first met. I was dating my now husband over 30 years ago. I walked in and sat down and met a forever friend for life. My name is Theresa but to him it would be Tess from that day forward which was fine with me. Barry (Dad) I was welcomed unconditionally. We would become closer than I would have ever thought as Barry became my bus driver on the route from my school it was great we had alot to chat about always. His sense if humor was over flowing those who had the luck of knowing him understand what I'm saying. Growing up was hard enough as a teenager not having my family living in Ottawa I would talk to him when I was having difficulties in my life. Especially with my in laws to be. All worked out! He was a great listener. I want to thank Rick and Trish for sharing their dad with me and my husband. Life wouldn't have been the same without his kind heart. God has plans for Barry now well maybe Barry has plans for God lol. He will be missed and fondly remembered in my heart for sure. A big hug to the man that made my life pleasurable till we meet again in Wal-Mart in heaven. Barry knows what I'm talking about. Trish and Rick you were so lucky to have your dad for all these years he will be sadly missed a huge hug for both of you. Eleanor what can I say but you were blessed to have such a wonderful man in your heart and life keep him close that pain your feeling is Barry holding your heart till you meet him again our deepest condolence to your family from Both myself and Kirk Sheldrick.
