I recently just heard the sad news of Phil's passing. I had the pleasure of knowing Phil through the industry, as I worked for various home builder's, he was the best fireplace rep you could ever ask for! He always made you laugh and boy he had a really great laugh, will definitely miss that. Sending my deepest condolence to his family.

Phil was my nephew and being from Australia it was my pleasure to meet him on two occasions - firstly when I was visiting his mother (my eldest sister Joan) and his father Norman in Niagara Falls when it was wonderful to get to know Catherine and also meet Jeff and secondly when we had lunch with Phil and Joan in Niamoa on central Vancouver Island - Phil having flown out from Ottawa especially for our visit. It was great to get to know him - he was such special company and always had a very happy outlook on life. Over the following years it was a pleasure to exchange emails with Catherine and Phil on a fairly regular basis. May his soul rest in peace.

Dear Catherine, Dave, Sam & family, please accept our sincere and deep condolences on the loss of your dear husband, Dad and Grandfather. Catherine, while we were neighbours for the years that our kids were young, we have many, many funny and happy memories of the times the kids spent together and the special relationship they all had with the kind, gentle man that Phil was...not just for family but for everyone whose life he touched. Like many, over the years, we did not see you as often, but I could count on running into Phil several times a year at our local Metro store. Each time, it felt like time had disappeared as we shared stories of family and happy times in the past. Thank you for sharing the link for the service this morning. It was beautiful and Sam & Dave's loving tributes and memories were wonderfully delivered. Father Tim's special remembrances brought smiles and hope for the future. Please know that we are sending you all lots of courage, love, prayers and virtual hugs.
XOXO
Patti & Kevin Kuntz

Dear Catherine and Family. Our thoughts are with you at this time and while full of sadness we remember with fondness dear memories of Phil. We regret that we had slipped out of touch especially since Phil and I were the remaining family members who came over by boat to live in Canada in the mid 1950s. My job was to push his stroller and we called him PIP because that's how he pronounced Phillip. We remember his warmth and humour and yarns and the friendly rivalry he had with his brother David. One memory that sticks out was that David was in training at High School in Pickering for long distance running and really worked at it. Phil decided that he could do that without any training and did so and came in first. We were at David's bedside the evening of the night that he passed away because the family was scattered across Canada and couldn't make it in time...so this makes it doubly hard. I too carry your name for as long as I live.
Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you
Gray (Gray) Morris Reeve and Marilyn Reeve

To one of the kindest, most fun-loving and gentle men I have had the pleasure to know. Phil you will be sorely missed. I only got to know Phil in the past 10 years or so, and our friendship bloomed over one of his favorite pastimes - golf. We had the best times; his gentle good nature, and his sense of humor were always evident. We had the very best of times. The picture below was taken in the summer of 2017 - with Phil's best friend Brian, at our favorite Sunday morning haunt - Greensmere Golf Club. Stanley, Brian, and me (Henry) will never, ever forget you Phil. Sincerest condolences to Catherine, Samantha and David. May Phil's memory sustain you during this time.
