Obituary of Ronald John Boan Sr.

Passed away in the company of family on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at the age of 80. Ronald is predeceased by his father Neil Herbert Boan, mother Winnifred Elise and brother Robert Neil. Survived by brothers and sisters Neil Herbert Jr., Elinor Gladys, Shirley Winnifred, Leslie Adrian and Debroah Evelyn. Father of Denise (Mark Coultis), Ronald John Jr., Kimberly Anne, Laurie Ellen, Sherry Lynn and Kevin James. Proud of his many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ronald had a successful career in grocery retail beginning with Dominion Stores thence The Hill Produce & Bulk Food Store and Produce Depot. Ronald was also involved in other retail ventures including Ron’s Bears in a Basket and Spice of Life stores culminating with his retirement in 2005. During his career Ronald was known for his work ethics, attention to detail and dedication.

A private family interment will be held in the spring at Pinecrest Cemetery (2500 Baseline Rd., Ottawa).
