Obituary of Irene Gladys Reny (nee Doris)

God called Irene on January 29, 2021, at the age of  95. She is now reunited in heaven with her loving husband Paul Armond “Pete” Reny. 

She cherished her children Richard Reny (Doreen Smith), Helen Stroud (the late W.Bruce Stroud), Peter Reny (Tasma) and Gary Reny (the late Christine).  Was proud “Nanny” of Micheal Kareckas, Todd Reny, Robyn Roy, Katie Stroud Walker, Jessie-Lee Reny, Chris Stroud, Rhea Frankel, Jade Reny, and Paige Reny.  Adoring “Super Nanny” of: Zoe Kaeckas, Abby Kareckas, Isabella Reny, Genevieve Reny, Madeline Reny, Jacob Roy, Ella Roy, Stephanie Stroud, Claire Walker, Jamie Walker, Shay Reny Seville, Cali Reny Seville, Gaius Stroud, Lucas Stroud, Marcus Stroud, Mia Frankel, and Ari Frankel.  Dear sister of Evelyn Brule, Cyril Doris, Lawrence Doris, Gerry Doris.  Predeceased by sisters Marget Smith, Lillian Snider, Dorthy Doris, Patricia Giroud and by her parents, Cyril Paterick Doris and Rhea Regambault.  Irene will be dearly missed by her many family and friends.

Irene had a passion for dancing, fitness, bowling, sports- GO BLUE JAYS GO!, and her family.

Despite moving 14 times in 34 years across Canada and the United States she always made her house a home. She was creative with yarn or needle and never afraid to try something new. After all she “had a recipe and she could read!”

A private family service will be held and interment at Notre Dame Cemetery in the spring.
