Obituary of Joan McCooeye (nee McAndrew)

October 24, 1935 – January 29, 2021 

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Joan McCooeye on January 29, 2021, at the age of 85.  Joan is survived by her husband of 67 years, Milton McCooeye, her daughters, Cheryl Durkee (Vernon) and Karen Turner (John-deceased); five grandchildren Leah (Mike), Riley (Cody), Kasey (Jacob), Lizzy (Justin), Harlen; eight great grandchildren Wylie, Marlee, Wheeler, Willow, Meadow, Declan, Maggie, Reyna; her sister in law Marlyn McAndrew and niece Kathryn (Jonathan) Li and her family. Joan was predeceased by her father Barclay, mother Ada and brother Ronald.  Joan will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.  Since Joan loved kids and Disney, in lieu of flowers, please donate to the Make-a-Wish Canada or a charity of your choice.
