Obituary of Antonio Malandra

January 16, 1937 – January 26, 2021

Passed peacefully, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of Anna (nee Dinardo). Loving and proud father of Piero (Cathy) and Danny (Sandra). Cherished Grandpa to Alyssa, Adrianna, Sophia, Isabella and Anthony. He will be dearly missed by his brother Nicola (Carmen). He will also be missed by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many friends in Canada, Italy and Switzerland.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the amazing staff at Saint-Vincent Hospital-Bruyere, and the caring staff from the Irving Greenberg Family Cancer Centre at the Queensway Carleton Hospital.

Never to be forgotten, held closely in our hearts with love, admiration and gratitude, there will not be a day that goes by where there isn’t something that reminds us of you. Rest in peace Dad. You will be forever in our hearts.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions, a private family service will take place with the immediate family at Pinecrest Cemetery, followed by entombment.  There will be a celebration of life memorial service held at a future date when Covid 19 restrictions are lifted.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Antonio’s name can be made to the Ottawa Cancer Centre or the Bruyere Foundation.
