Obituary of Marilyn Merkley (nee Perry)

Marilyn "Lyn" Merkley (nee Perry) passed away lovingly surrounded by her children on January 22^nd , 2021. Beloved daughter of the late Jessie Keith and the late Gordon Perry Sr., loving wife of the late John Merkley, dear mother to Andrea (Gary), Tanya (Tom), Trisha (Jason) and Chris (Anastasia), twin sister to Pat Murray, and sister to the late Gordon Perry Jr.  Devoted Nan to Tyler (Apple), Courtney (Nick), Brandon (Jess), Tawny (Andrew), Samantha (Cale), John, Avary and Bennett. Cherished great grandmother (G.G.) to 9.  Born in Montreal, raised in Ottawa she worked 34 yrs in the electrical industry while maintaining an active life.  She was an avid golfer, bowler, played fastball and in her younger years a sprinter.  She was very artistic and very creative and known for her fudge brownies.  Our heartfelt appreciation & love goes out to the many wonderful nurses and personal support workers of Peter D. Clarke that cared for her tirelessly in her last year. They are true angels. 

A Private Family Service will be held at Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel on Saturday, January 30, 2021 If friends so desire memoriam donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
