Obituary of Doreen Caren Stockdale

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Doreen Caren Stockdale (Carter / Potvin) on January 13th with Gord by her side at the Garden Terrace LTC home in Kanata.  She was a dear wife, mother, sister, aunt, nanny, nanna and great nanna. Born in 1946, Doreen was pre-deceased by her father Delbert Carter and mother Madeleine Paly (Nadeau / Carter). She is survived by husband Gordon, brothers Lorne (Lori), Barry (Anne) and sisters Jacqueline (Bob), Joanne (Paulette), Marilyn (Gene) and sister -in -law Jean (Ken). Mother of Robert, Danielle (Dave), step mother of Shawn (Rosie) and Melanie (Marc). She had eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren whom she all loved dearly. Heartfelt thanks go to the staff (4th floor) of Garden Terrace for all their love and care given to Doreen over the last two plus years. Doreen’s wish to have her remains donated for medical research have been realized. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. We will always remember your wonderful sense of humour, your beautiful smile and infectious laugh.
