Obituary of William Kenneth Watson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear brother William Kenneth Watson on January 10th, 2021 at the age of 63. William, more commonly known as Billy (or Uncle Billy) was born February 8th, 1957 and was one of three sets of twins in his immediate family. Predeceased by his loving parents Floyd and Edna Watson and his siblings George, Barbara and Baby Watson. Billy is survived by his siblings Lloyd (Bonnie), Doug (Pam), Donald, Anna, Robert Sharon (Kenny) and Sheila. His 11 nieces and nephews George (Kerri), Bradley, Ian (Chastine), Cory, Sarah (Tim), Lora (Chris), Travis, Norma-Jean (Matthew), Sam, Kayla (Ben) and Kelsey (Alex) as well as his great nieces and nephews, Hannah, Caylie, Brody, Jayden, Connor, Leland,Nicholas, Parker, Eva, Kenny, Watson and Waylon. Billy had close friends who he cherished and he dedicated a great deal of time reconnecting with distant family through Ancestry who will miss him too.

Billy had a keen eye for decorating - from his home and garden to your home and garden- and always seemed to have something perfect for your space. Many of us have a little bit of him in every room - some stuff that we agreed to and other stuff that he would secretly place there in hopes you might not notice. Uncle Billy had this way of making each and every one of us feel like we were special - through phone calls, surprise visits, bags of carefully curated items, videos in Messenger or comments on your pictures. He would save all of your photos onto his computer just so he could go out and make you a photo album. He loved every one of us beyond measure which makes his sudden passing even more difficult to accept.

It’s hard to imagine a family gathering without Billy there. He was warm, loving, quirky, generous and could always get you laughing. He was a proud brother, uncle, great uncle, friend and neighbour and will be sorely missed by all. We’re all better for knowing him and will carry his memories (and decorative treasures) in our hearts and minds forever.

Due to the nature of the pandemic, a celebration of life has been postponed until a later date. If friends so desire Memorial Donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
