Obituary of Caroline Juliette Dance
Early in the morning, on Friday, January 5th, 2018, Caroline “Cara” Juliette Dance passed away suddenly at twelve years of age, in peace, in her sleep, in one of her favourite places in the world -the bed her Daddy, Scott, had modified to make comfy and safe for her- surrounded by her Wiggles and Dora blankets and the stuffies her older sister, Stephanie, put in each night, with love. Her Mom, Brigitte and her nanny, “Nanny Annie”, had spent a wonderful day with her on Thursday, singing, cuddling and dancing throughout the day. Her joyful and energetic soul will be sorely missed by her family, the Dances, the Sartes, the Paligas, her Godfamily, the Orbays, close family friends, the Leitch-Blais, the Currents, the Hurtubises, the O'Briens and her "peeps" at St. Luke Elementary School, Roger Neilson House and the Ottawa Rotary Home. Brigitte, Scott and Stephanie invite you to celebrate Caroline’s life at the Pinecrest and Cole Funeral Home (2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa, ON, K2C-3H9). Visitations will be held on Saturday, January 13th, from 4:00-6:00 pm and Sunday, January 14th from 9:00 -11:00 am. A life celebration will follow after the Sunday visitation, at 11:00 am. A reception with a light luncheon will be held afterwards, on site. To honour Caroline’s love of Christmas, plaid patterns and cartoony decals (Disney, Dora, Backyardigans, Bubble Guppies, the Wiggles, Walk, Roll and Run), we are asking you to wear T-shirts or other apparel to fill the room with her whimsical, joyful spirit. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations in Cara’s name to either: the Ottawa Rotary Home; Roger Neilson House or the Make a Wish Foundation (Eastern Ontario Branch).
