The Members of the Beaver Meadow Hunt Club offer their sincere condolences to Vic’s family and to all those who were lucky enough to be touched by Vic’s kindness and his magnetic personality. Vic was a friend to everyone (and to every dog) at Beaver Meadow and he was a generous mentor to many a new woodsman, through whom Vic’s legacy will carry on. He will be greatly missed.

Vic will be sadly missed by all as he was always a gentleman and put other people's comfort first. This stood him in good stead in his chosen profession. We will miss seeing him sitting in his favourite chair watching golf.

Sending my deepest condolences to the Jones family. My father ( Emil Holst) often spoke highly of Victor as their paths crossed often in the business community. I had the privilege of meeting Victor just the one time and found him to be a kind, gentle soul. Rest easy Mr. Jones.

It is with a heavy heart I write this. I have always had the upmost respect for Vic. Our paths first crossed after dirt biking with Steve at the cottage many many years ago. As our friendship grew, so did my interactions with Vic & Marylin. I was always welcomed and was always treated like a member of the family. I will never forget Vic’s teasing and advise, all while puffing on a cigar.....He always had something for me to do before we could get out and play. He reinforced the meaning of working hard to achieve goals, and reminded me to enjoy the fruits of your labour. Many memories, many laughs and much sadness as I say goodbye to a friend, mentor and a great man.
