I attended Frank Ryan and St.Pius with Mary before moving to VA after 10th grade. I reconnected with Mary on facebook and for the past 12 years every time I was back in Ottawa visiting my parents we would get together. So many laughs. She was a beautiful person and I will miss our annual visits. Fly high Mary. You will be missed by all that knew you.

Mary was such a ray of sunshine in all the lives she touched … so many laughs over the years … every time there was a girls night at my place, she was always the one to keep me up the latest with all her funny stories and quirks. I met her in FR in grade 7.. we then reconnected at Algonquin in the same program and became even better friends, I remember going over and visiting her and her beautiful baby Julia Nancy Kiska. Through the years we did drift apart, with our adult life's, but then reconnected about 10 years and picked up where we left off ... laughing our asses off with every story .... I will miss this very special lady very much .... your beautiful smile and laughter will always fill my heart when I think of you ... RIP my special friend

Julia and family, Sorry for your loss. Mary and I went to St. Rita, Frank Ryan and Pius together. When we were little we both had the same hair cut. One summer, my daughter Melanie and I would join Mary and Julia at the play structure at Long Park. We would chuckle because we realized that there was a few of us from St. Rita school days who had a child. Mary was great support.

The shock of lossing someone so young and suddenly shakes us terribly. I only knew Mary from the care she provided at the Salvation Army Grace Manor. We often would chat as she left after providing support to loved ones at the Gladstone. She brought joy and comfort to so many and she will be missed dearly by residents family and staff.
