Patricia Murray

Obituary of Patricia Murray

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful mother, Nan, GiGi, Auntie Pat and friend to so many, Patricia (nee Perry) Murray.  She leaves a legacy of love, laughter and unwavering devotion to her family.

Born in Montreal, Quebec, Pat lived a life full of grace, kindness and a passion for the simple pleasures.  Predeceased by her mother, Jessie (Jay) Perry and father, Gordon Perry, big brother, Gord and her twin sister, Lynn (Marilyn), she loved to chat over a glass of wine and was the life of the party. An avid golfer, masterful knitter and a spirited card player, she loved to live and lived to love.  She leaves also many happy memories with family and friends at the Mississippi Lake, a home she cherished and remained for most of her life. Pompano Beach will never be the same after her and dad’s annual trips in the winter.  She will truly be missed by her friends, too many to mention, a testament to her fun-loving ways and kind spirit.

She is reunited with the love of her life and predeceased by David Murray (Dad).  She will be immeasurably missed by her ‘five brats’, Diane (Danny), Karen, Maureen, Marilyn (Jay), David (Colette, her sixth ‘daughter’),  7 beautiful and cherished grandchildren; Blake (Shannon), Corey (Brittany), Jodie (Pat), Mitch (Courtney), Brittany (Mike), Jaimee (Mike) and Quinn as well as 13 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Cheers mamacita; you have departed this world and truly made it a better place .  Play euchre with Dad and those that were there to greet you but remember to tell them ‘don’t go alone with three to the left’ xo

A private family service will be held to honor her wishes but we are overwhelmed and truly appreciate the outpouring of love and support.

Donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
