Obituary of Peter Shawn Pollock

It is with heavy hearts and sadness, we announce the passing of Peter Pollock on October 14, 2025 at the age of 79.

Peter was a man of discerning taste. Rarely seen without a cigar in hand and always appreciative of a fine glass of wine, he lived his life with unmistakable style, humour and an appreciation for quality in all things.

He is survived by his wife Sylvia, his children Shawn (Paula) and Kim, his grandchildren Alyshia, Brandon, Brittany, Jackson and Kate who each brought him great pride. Peter was predeceased by his parents Juanita and Larry, and his siblings Darlene, Sharron, and Dennis.

Peter had a presence that filled a room - polished, opinionated, and lively. Peter valued good conversation, good company and lived a life on his own terms.

A Celebration to honour Peter's life will be held at the Pinecrest Reception Centre, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa on Monday, October 27, 2025 at 1:30pm.

Those who knew him will remember him best with a raised glass, a fine cigar and a nod to impeccable style.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The Ottawa Hospital Foundation (General Campus) would be appreciated.
