Jane Jamieson

Obituary of Jane Ann Jamieson

February 28, 1948 – July 30, 2025

It is with profound sorrow that Richard and Tyler announce the passing of Jane, their beloved wife and mother. Jane was pre deceased by her parents John (Jack) Turner and Thelma (Young) Turner and by her brother Eddie and her sister Janet Holmes and her many beloved Aunts and Uncles. She will be remembered fondly by her nieces and nephews, Paula, Blaine, Jason, Shauna and Brian.

Jane died peacefully in the Queensway Carleton Hospital holding the hand of her son Tyler. For 56 years she was a loving partner to Richard who will be lost without her. Tyler remembers a terrific mother who offered him love and support throughout his life. Jane adored Tyler more than anything in the world and was so proud of the man he had become.

Jane was a prolific reader, a dedicated walker and a passionate music enthusiast sharing her wonderful voice with several choirs. She loved all animals especially her many cocker spaniels, Clara being the most cherished of all.

Jane was a very caring, loving and supportive person. Because of her love for people she had many long time dear friends. Some of those friendships were made at NORTEL where she had a career that she was very proud of. Those friends included Katherine Maas, Kathy Ste. Marie and her dear friend Liz Malcom whom she became very close to. She will be missed too by her ‘groupie‘ friends, Debbie Foran and Melinda
Peasley.

Jane was extremely close to her beloved ‘Gal Pal’ cousins from the ‘Young’ Family. She will be missed by her cousins, Debbie, Joanne, Kathy, Kim, Nancy and Wendy and especially by her BFF Sandy, whom she has shared an entire lifetime of memories.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Cole Funeral Services at Pinecrest Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Road, on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 1 to 3 pm.
