Obituary of Benjamin William Arthur Campbell

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Benjamin William Arthur Campbell — affectionately known as Benji, Benj, and Ben — who left us too soon at the age of 49.

Ben was a man of heart and hands, shaped by his roots growing up on a farm. A true handyman and exceptional chef, Ben dedicated his spare time to helping others. Whether it was renovation work, moving furniture, cooking for a family event— Ben was always there. His gifts were never just his tools or strength, but the time, compassion, and care he gave so freely.

Ben shared his passions for Star Wars, curling, and all things sports — especially cheering on his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers — with infectious joy. He often sparked lively discussions about favorite scenes, thrilling games, or curling matches that brought laughter and connection. An avid reader and sharp debater, he loved challenging ideas and exchanging thoughts that invited everyone to think a little deeper.

A devoted husband to Katrina, and loving father to their son Arthur and his daughter Ashleigh with Michelle Santos  — his children were his two greatest prides and joys.  Attentive son to parents Bill and Carol Ann, caring brother to twin sisters Angie (Joe) and Nicki (Ryan), and cherished uncle to nephews Brayden, Josh, and Thomas. Ben will be forever missed by many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and coworkers, as well as a large extended family who carry forward his warmth and wisdom.

Ben’s life was a testament to love, generosity, and the beauty of everyday devotion. His steady presence was a comfort and anchor to those around him.
