Obituary of Joan Joyce Carol Susan Ferguson

Beloved mother to three children, 87 years young, of Ottawa, Ontario, passed away in the hospital on July 4, 2025, leaving a void her family cannot fill.

She was born in Ottawa in 1938 to William and Alice Frazier, and lived her entire life in Ottawa.

Joan was a devoted mother to Joyce, William and Katherine, her pride and joys. She always said their birth changed her life for the better, and they felt that in the love and support she provided.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband Laurie, her oldest daughter Joyce and her brothers Arnold and Wayne, and is survived by William “Bill” (Roberta), Katherine “Kathy”, her five grandchildren, Amanda, Bradley, Carley, Travis and Brandon, who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.  She adored her great grandchildren, Bailey and Claire and was soon to be a great grandmother for the third time in December, 2025.

A celebration of life is planned at Pinecrest Reception Centre, 2500 Baseline Road, from 2 to 4pm on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. Donations to the Arthritis Society Canada in her name are appreciated.
