Obituary of Antonietta Carmela Salati

Passed away peacefully on July 4,2025 at the age of 84. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years Remigio. Daughter of the late Felice and Gelsomina Petti. She was the most loving and caring mother of Dominic (Brenda), Michael (Shelly) and Delia (Ron). The proudest Nonna of Dante, Karina, Dylan, Rosalie, Sierra and Mason. Dear sister of Luigi (Pia), Filomena (Amato) and the late Pasquale. She will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Carmela was born and raised in Oratino, Italy where she met Remigio, her beloved husband. They moved to Canada at a young age and began their family, which now crosses many generations.

Carmela will forever be known as an amazing cook. Her culinary skills were exceptional and no one in her presence was ever left unfed. She was an expert gardener and had the ability to grow any kind of vegetable, fruit or plant. Her greatest joy in life were her grandchildren. Hearing that magic word ‘Nonna’ provided so much happiness and love which comforted her til the end.

Carmela loved with all her heart and she will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
