So shocked to hear from Sang of Phil’s passing. We first met while competing in rally racing in the early ‘90’s. I only trusted my car to his shop. Later, we had good chats when we met at Sang’s shop. Wonderful memories!

My family and I are deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Philip Assad. Our conbdolences to his wife Susan, his children Rachel and Ryan and their families; and to the extended family.
Philip and I go back a long way and I have wonderful memories of the time we spent together. One of my fondest memories is driving with Philip and Len from Toronto to Brooklyn, New York for Philip's wedding. The trip was enjoyable, filled with lots of jokes, fun and laughter.
Philip will be sadly missed by many family and friends.

My condolences to Phil's wife and family. I have had the pleasure of working with Phil for the last 2 years. He always made everyone feel welcome and appreciated. I loved hearing the stories about his travels and his family. His face would light up when he spoke of them, and it was clear how much love and pride he has for them.
Phil was a true team player, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh. His presence made our workplace better, and his absence will be deeply felt by all of us.

I’ve known Rachel for over 20 years, and through her, I had the privilege of knowing her dad, Phillip. He was more than just “Rachel’s father” — he was a presence. Warm, kind, and always quick with a smile, he made everyone feel welcome.
