Was so sad to learn of Christa’s passing.. My Mum Patricia became friends with her at their first job together in Ballarat, Victoria Australia . Once Christa moved to Canada they always stayed in contact. My Mother sadly passed away in 2016 and I kept in contact with Christa via email . We would regularly email each other and became good friends . She was a lovely person and I will miss her emails . Condolences to her son and family . R.I.P Christa

So sorry to learn of Christa's passing. I live in her former apartment building; she was a lovely and lively neighbour with many stories to tell. I just got back from months of travel, and only learned of her passing just now. All the best to her son Rolf and her other relatives and friends. -Rafael

My sincere condolences to Rolf, Christa's sisters and other loved ones. I met Christa in 1987 when I started working at the Standards Council of Canada. After I left the Standards Council, Christa and I stayed in touch. When I worked downtown, we would meet for lunch or for coffee. I had been to visit her for dinner at her apartment and she had been to my home to enjoy a BBQ dinner on the deck. At first we kept in touch by phone calls, but more recently, we emailed. We both liked to sew. She was always interested in my family and asked about my children, my grandchildren, work and my mother. I will truly miss her presence and find it difficult to realize I will not receive any more emails from her. My thoughts go out to her family and friends at this difficult time.

I was very saddened to hear of Christa’s passing. Christa and I became friends when I started working at SCC in the early 90’s. She was a wonderful friend, and we enjoyed each other’s company during our time working together. We had many good laughs, and in my mind, I can still hear her laugh as it was quite infectious.
I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to Rolf, and Christa’s sisters during this very difficult time. Please hold onto the wonderful memories that you have of your mom and sister; they will keep you strong during this very sad time.

I am devastated to hear of the passing of my dear friend Christa. Christa and I have been close friends since 2010 when we were working at Elections Canada. Over the years, we've kept in close contact via email, phone calls, and meeting for coffee at Tim Horton's. Christa is very caring, loyal, and reliable, much like myself, so we share this common bond. Christa is like a mother figure to me because she is very supportive, and cares for me in pretty much everything that I do in my daily life. We have shared a lot of great moments and I only wish we could have shared a whole lot more. I will truly miss her presence in my life moving forward.
My condolences go out to her son Rolf, and the rest of her friends and family members. Christa will be greatly missed by all of us, but she will forever be in our hearts. I know she is now looking down, and giving us the care, love, and support to us as she always does in life.
