Patrick and I were classmates in high school and neighbours in Nepean. Pat was one of the first people I met when I moved to Ottawa. He was witty, funny and very easy to converse with. We shared many adventures together including camping, fishing, biking, snowmobiling and skiing. Pat was always happy and glad to see you. He could and would talk to anyone and always left the other person feeling good because of his friendly demeanour. Pat was definitely a night owl and absolutely adored his favourite rock band, The Doors. I have nothing but fond memories of Pat and am deeply saddened at his passing. My condolences to his family and friends.

To Patrick’s family,
I am deeply saddened to hear about Patrick’s passing. Pat has been a treasured friend of mine for close to fifty years. I will greatly miss his smile, his razor sharp wit, and kind heart. He had a unique ability to make everyone feel valued, and his love for his family was always evident in our long, sometimes meandering, chats. He often spoke of you all with such pride and affection, and I can only imagine the profound void his passing has left.
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this incredibly difficult time. Patrick will be greatly missed, but his spirit will forever live on in our memories.

It was with utter disbelief that I learned of my friend Pat's passing. We attended Sir Robert Borden High School together, and spent many a day/evening/weekend/week enjoying all that life offers. Skiing, camping, time at various cottages, or just exploring Ottawa's nooks and crannies. Pat was always up for a night out, and I'll always be grateful for and remember him for the good friend that he was. When we had a coffee on Elgin Street last October he was much the same. Still had a quick wit and wry insights into the state of the world. My sincere condolences to Mairi, Margy, and John. I'm a better person for having known him, and I expect most that knew him would say the same. He will be truly missed.

"I would like to extend my condolences to the family, and at the same time, I would like to say that for 20 years, I regularly going to.swim with Patrick. We had so many great discussions, and he often spoke highly of his family and his mother, who passed away several years ago. He also frequently talked about his sister, who had a work accident at Tim Hortons and of,douse his nephew. Of course, he was a great help to Michael at jack purcell as well as his mother, and we must not forget our Wayne and Lionel Wagner, who also went to the pool, which was very important to us. He had a second family at the jack Purcell and community center ans he was greatly appreciated by the staff members
Patrick had a very good heart and was always so helpful to each of us. My sincere sympathies to you and your family.
And finally, we would sometimes speak in French—he was shy about speaking, but he was able to do it.
To concluded Patrick i know that you will watch over each of us
Chantal
