Obituary of Helene Pageau
Helene Eve Pageau
1940 - 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce that Helene passed away peacefully at home. Cherished mother of Michel. Predeceased by her loving husband and partner for many years, Frank Cosenzo and beloved stepmother to Richard Frank Cosenzo (Jeff). Will be dearly missed by her granddaughter Chanelle. Predeceased by her parents as well as her sister Anita and brother Paul.
Helene grew up in Lowertown where she learned hairdressing, a skill that she carried on for her entire working career. She married her now ex-husband, Andre Pageau (deceased), and gave birth to her son Michel, who she doted on and who cared for her during her last years. Helene was an accomplished jazz singer and loved to dance. You would find her many a Friday night dancing the night away at a variety of local establishments with her dancing partner Frank. They spent many summers “camping” with the gang at Clayton Lake. She will be dearly missed by her lifelong friends Monique Kelly and Sue Hanchuk, who she met in childhood and talked to every day until the very end. Friday outings to Carlingwood with the girls will be a little less bright without Helene’s magnetic personality and beaming smile. Helene was loved by all she met and was a lifelong caregiver to anyone who needed help.
A Memorial Service will be held at Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel on Friday, March 7, 2025 at 2 P.M. If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
