Obituary of Joan Marilyn Whitehead

Joan passed away suddenly on February 15, 2025.  She will be dearly missed by her children Jeff (Julie), Arran (Cal), Bruce (Mary-Ann) and Ross (Sylvie).  She was a loving grandmother to Matt (Asia), Chris (Corissia), Courtney (Seb), Adam, Caitlin and Brad.  

A private family service will be held in the spring.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.

A Table Set with Love

She baked with warmth, a touch so light,

Butter tarts golden, a sweet delight.

Date squares stacked in tender rows,

A love so deep, it always shows.

 

Each Saturday, she’d take her place,

At Ralph’s, where laughter filled the space.

Her children near, her grandkids bright,

Her heart aglow in morning light.

 

She held us close, through joy, through pain.

A guiding hand in sun and rain.

Though now she’s gone, her love remains,

In whispered winds and soft refrains.

 

We’ll never lose the gifts she gave,

Her kindness strong, her heart so brave.

For love like hers can never part –

It lingers on in every heart.
