I just found out that another Angel got her wings. Kimberley Shirley was a shining light in the lives of all who knew her and in particular with co-workers. I had the privilege and pleasure of working with Kim during her time with the Canada Revenue Agency and then Shared Services Canada.
Kim was kind and thoughtful, always putting others before herself. She had a remarkable ability to brighten any room with her positive attitude and willingness to help.
During many conversations, we spoke of Kayden, one of her greatest joys. From the moment he was born, Kim lit up whenever she spoke about him. To add to this there were countless videos of his every move. We would sit and watch the videos over and over and had a great laugh…what a great positive way to start the day. I couldn’t wait to see her in the morning to see what new adventures he had done the previous night. To her, Kayden was the next best thing since sliced bread. She considered him one of her major accomplishments in life, and her pride and joy was evident to all who saw them together. She simply adored him.
Kim was not just a devoted mother but also an amazing co-worker. I will always remember her fondly for her constant positivity and her readiness to lend a hand. We would often work together on projects and she made some of the most mundane tasks fun. Kim left an indelible mark on everyone she worked with, creating a legacy of kindness and thoughtfulness.
In our hearts, Kim will always be remembered as a beacon of compassion and a true collaborator. Her memory lives on in the countless lives she touched and the love she shared so generously.
Rest in peace, Kimberley Shirley. You will be forever missed and always cherished. Till we meet again.
