Obituary of Joan Lyons

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Joan Elizabeth Lyons on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at the age of 87.

Joan was a devoted mother to Nancy (Brent Doherty) and the late Cynthia Hunter (Bryan Fevrier). She was a loving grandmother to Jennifer Doherty, Christopher Doherty, Curtis Doherty, Jarrett Hunter-Fevrier, and Jordan Hunter-Fevrier. Her legacy continues through her cherished great-grandchildren, Grayson Girard and Kaylie Girard.

Joan will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for her family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Cole Funeral Services & Pinecrest Remembrance on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Pinecrest Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Ottawa Heart Institute, or the Ottawa Humane Society in Joan’s honor.
