Obituary of Paul Fletcher
It is with the utmost sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Fletcher. After a heroic six-year battle with cancer, Paul passed away peacefully on the morning of May 27, surrounded by his loving wife, Deb, and their three children, Kelly, Myles, and Samantha. Paul was also a beloved grandpa to seven cherished grandchildren (Elyse, Quinn, Brielle, Jaxon, Isla, Luke, and Caden), brother to Judith Martin, community leader, singer, performer, rockstar, and realtor extraordinaire. He spent his final moments in the comfort of his own bed, with music playing softly in his room, including songs from his own band, Bitter Blue. Paul touched countless lives through his kindness, humour, talent, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and community. Many will remember seeing him perform at the Meadowvale Theatre, being mentored by him in real estate, or spending time with him at Duck Point, the cottage he lovingly maintained as a paradise on earth for family and friends alike. His presence, laughter, and passion for life will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Paul's extraordinary life will be held on Sunday, June 28, at 1:30 p.m. at the Meadowvale Theatre in Mississauga. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
