Obituary of Blodwen Greig

It is with love and gratitude for a life well lived that the family of Blodwen Marie Greig (nee Hutton) announces her passing on May 18th, 2026 at the age of 101 at her home in Ottawa. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family.

She was a devoted wife to Andrew Greig and loving mother to Robert Greig, grandmother of David Greig, Jason Greig and Christopher Wakeman, great-grandmother of Hannah Greig, James Greig and Cadence Greig, great-great-grandmother of Isaac McCullough, Declan McCullough and Flynn McCullough.

She enjoyed summers at the family cottage on Toote Lake, tending to the gardens at home and watching the comings and goings of the various birds and squirrels playing in it.

She is survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Andrew and son Robert.

Visitation will take place at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road on Monday, May 25th at 10:00am until the time of the service at 11:00am. Interment will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Blodwen's memory may be made to Diabetes Canada.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
