Obituary of Lucie Robitaille
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lucie Marie-Francine Robitaille, age 68, of Nepean ON, peacefully on April 30, 2026, in Ottawa with her family at her side.
Born on January 24, 1958, in Ottawa, she attended Charlebois High School and later trained in fashion design. In 1988 she found her true calling as customer service representative at Lee Valley Tools. From an entry level position, she progressed rapidly through various supervisory and management roles to become the Chief Customer Officer. Along the way, she was responsible for many major initiatives including phone systems, call center development, and the administration and refinement of the original Lee Valley website. She championed the transformation of the company into a bilingual organization and took tremendous pride in the quality of the adaptation work the team did and continues to do. Most important – Lucie measured her success in term of her contribution to the development and support of her staff, which have numbered more than a thousand during her 38 years.
Lucie loved to travel, but her favorite place was wherever family and friends gathered. The same commitment and organization she applied to her career was also a hallmark of her personal life. There could never be too many people, too much food, or too many activities.
With more than her fair share of health challenges, Lucie was unwaveringly optimistic and did not let her medical conditions define or limit her. She always focused on what she had the ability to do, no matter what her circumstances.
Lucie is survived by her husband Robin Lee; their children Annick (Allan) and Philippe (Isabelle) Robitaille-Lee; her sisters Francine (Chris) Marston and Michelle (Pierre) Paquette; and grandchildren Audrey, Delphine and Elodie; and numerous dear nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Maurice and Francoise Robitaille, and sister Monique.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Lucie's life at Pinecrest Remembrance Services, 2500 Baseline Road, on Friday May 15th from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation.
