Obituary of Joan Elizabeth Moloughney
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, Joan Elizabeth Moloughney (née Shipman), who passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 18, 2026, at the age of 72.
Joan was the devoted wife of David John Moloughney, and a loving mother to Jenny (Lorne) Morris of Napanee and Sarah (Nathan) Dagg of Lanark, Highlands, and late daughter Kelly Moloughney. Joan was a proud and cherished grandmother to Morgan (Matt) Detlor, Bailey Morris, Blake Morris, Maddison Dagg, and Quinn Dagg.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas Shipman and the late Ainsley (Stiver) Shipman. Joan was a loving sister and will be remembered by her siblings, the late Ann (Roly) Anderson, John (Bonnie) Shipman, Barb (Tom) McCarthy , as well as her extended family. She will also be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews, who held a special place in her heart.
Joan was a kind, strong, and creative woman—an artist at heart—who found joy in expressing herself and bringing beauty into the lives of those around her. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose warmth and compassion touched everyone she met.
Her family was her world, and she took great pride in caring for and supporting those she loved. The memories she created and the love she shared will be carried forward by her family and friends for generations to come.
In keeping with her wishes, a celebration of Joan’s life will be held Cole Funeral Services & Highland Park Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
