Obituary of Terry Gordon Taylor

It is with deep love and sorrow that we share the passing of Mr. Terry Gordon Taylor, age 68, of Ottawa, Ontario, passed away on March 19, 2026, after a courageous battle with COPD and cancer. Terry was born on June 13, 1957, in Lanark, Ontario, to Frances J. (Blackburn) Taylor and Gordon Taylor. He graduated from Perth and District Collegiate Institute in Perth, Ontario, and went on to pursue his passion for custom cabinet making and refacing. Terry worked alongside his father in the cabinet-making industry for many years before taking over the family business, dedicating himself to his craft for the remainder of his career.

Terry will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Lyne Taylor; his children, Julie Taylor and Shane Taylor; and his siblings: Shirley (Victor) Tysick, Cal (Marsha) Taylor, Steve (Maureen) Taylor, and Vivian (Rodger) Rintoul. He is also fondly remembered by his extended family, including his in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Terry was predeceased by his parents, Frances and Gordon Taylor; his brother, Eric Taylor; and his sister-in-law, Susan Taylor.

Terry will be remembered for his loving care and dedication to his family, his craftsmanship, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Celebration of life arrangements are being made and will be shared with family and friends once finalized. In lieu of flowers, donations in Terry’s memory may be made to the Canadian Lung Association and would be greatly appreciated.
