
Obituary of Carol Ann Hacker
Carol (Ann) Hacker passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital, Ottawa, Ontario surrounded by family. She is predeceased by her husband Ken, her parents Henry and Blanche and her 9 siblings Clint, Hazen, Corliss, Marion (Sissy), Patty, Sam, Sara, Jeri-Mae (Aggie), and Jon. She leaves behind her 3 children, Allen (Lee Ann), Lynn (Douglas) and Edward as well as her grandchildren, Jacqui (Mark), Cora (Mike), Bonnie, Tyler (Anny) and Sonia Ann (Wyatt) and several nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
Ann has resided at Bridlewood Trails since Ken passed in February 2024, becoming the resident celebrity providing residents and staff with several hours of entertainment playing the piano.
Ann was proud to have worked with the Canadian Red Cross for many years and volunteered at the Good Companions as their excursion co-ordinator while she was a member of the Ottawa Kinette Club. She and Ken were proud owners of the Pinegrove Cottages in Otter Lake, QC for 25 years.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-12:00 pm at the Cole Funeral Home (Pinecrest Cemetery), 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa, ON. on March 6, 2026 with service to follow at 12:00 pm. A reception will be held following interment. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.
