Obituary of Vivian Elaine Grace McIntosh

The family of Vivian Elaine Grace McIntosh (nee Keeler) sadly announce her peaceful passing on January 12, 2026 in her home at 415 Greenview Avenue, Ottawa. Vivian was the beloved partner of Robert (Bob) McIntosh and devoted mother of Ian (Michelle), Katrina and Corinne (Mark Downing).  She was a loving and cherished grandmother to Alexis and Brock.

Vivian will be dearly missed by her sister Lynn Keeler (Corey Pike) and brother Richard (Jackie) as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Charles and Catrina Keeler, brother Bruce and sisters Bonnie and Barbara.

Vivian was born in Ottawa on January 14, 1950 and spent her early childhood in Britannia village.  Eventually moving with her family to the Carlington Park area where she graduated from Laurentian High School. Vivian held several administrative positions with labour unions concluding her career with the Ottawa Board of Education.

Vivian will be fondly remembered by friends and family as a hostess and contributor to gatherings some of which were held at the cottage in Gracefield, Quebec.

Friends and acquaintances are invited to join family at a Celebration of Life in Vivian’s honour to be held on Monday, January 26, 2026 between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm at Pinecrest Remembrance Services, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
